PUBLIC ACCESS CATALOG

The library adopted "ToRead Automated Library System" to deal with acquisition, cataloging, serial control, circulation, WebPAC and system management. The WebPAC provides readers with information on library holdings by author, title, subject and keyword. Users may make PIN (Personal Identification Number), renewals, requests, suggestions, and recommendations of new titles through the WebPAC. Searching on the WebPAC is accessible 24 hours through the internet at library homepage.

 

REFERENCE SERVICES

Reference Desk is located on the first floor of the Library. Librarians answer questions on the use of reference materials, ILL's, electronic resources, and othe facilities in the Library. Readers may also contact the reference librarian at 05-6315041 for telephone querries.

 

DATABASES

The Library offers many kinds of databases in many generals and specialized fields such as humanities, science, social science, engineering, business administration, education and law. Some databases, including several full-text or full-image ones, are accessible through the campus network. The Library also offers instruction on the use of the electronic resources. Please check under collections for the list of databases. Information about instruction courses is announced on the Library homepage, or contact librarians at 05-6315041.

 

CIRCULATION

All materials can be checked out to the members of the University community except reference books, periodicals, course reserve books, maps and microform materials. For questions on circulation please contact 05-6315041.

 

INTER-LIBRARY LOANS

For materials not available in the NHIT Library, readers may borrow books or request photocopies of journal articles from other libraries in Taiwan or through the DDs services of the Great Britain Library. PHOTOCOPY SERVICES

On first/second floor, the Library is equipped with copy machines operated by copy cards or coins for public use. Cards are for sale at the Circulation Desk on the first floor.

 

RESERVE SERVICE

Faculty members and students may place holds on library materials by submitting a reserve to the library. Reserve can be submitted from web.

 

Wireless Services

The library is equipped with wireless access points on the first, second, third, and the fifth floor. Users can access the campus network and internet with their own portable computing devices.
